Shortest day of the year 12/21/10

Congratulations on making it to the shortest day of the year everyone. It only gets better from here. It will be spring before we know it.
I had a few ideas for a Holiday card for my clients this year and I thought I'd share them.
My good friend Joe helped me again this year. (thanks Joe) First we wrapped him in xmas lights and went to a abandoned corner near Davis Sq. to make a picture about a person lost/overwhelmed in the strange spirit of the Holiday. I wasn't happy with the image all said and done so we went into the studio a week later for the boxing glove photo. I thought this represented the way the holidays snuck up on me this year (this was the one I ended up printing). The last portrait I just thought was a funny outtake.
Happy Holidays to anyone reading this.

A walk in the woods.

Thanks to a tiny tick for my recent week of 103 degree fevers.
The photos of the walk in the woods a few posts back gifted me with a deer tick that gave me Lyme disease.
Here is my t-shirt idea.
Anyone?

D, Tech Review, iWalk, Birthday and Fall light.

Art Show.

Nice fall light

Birthday. My little lady is 4 now. Time flies. We rented a jumping castle and invited neighbors and classmates. She was glowing.

The thing just fit in our little Somerville acres.

Thanksgiving walk.

D's friend Charlotte

Cyrus. Best ball chaser, paws down. I could throw them until my arm fell off. He would come back for more.

Couple outtakes from a recent shoot for Technology Review magazine.
Matthew Meyerson. His lab is using genetic sequencing to identify cancer. Very interesting and nice person.

I also shot some photos of the heads of a local company called iWalk started by Hugh Herr.
They are developing a new kind of robotic foot called the PowerFoot BiOM. Very passionate people and an amazing product.

Pictures of the new "project"

1959-61 Moto Guzzi Lodola 235 GT
Impulsive eBay purchase that turned into more of a project than the "good runner" it was described as by the California seller.
Motor comes out and mysterious bottom end noise gets investigated. Long list of things to attend to before the spring Giro.
