Butterfield and a blog milestone.

 These are recent outtakes from a shoot at Butterfield in Providence RI with store owner and all around cool person Mindy Matouk.

I started this blog almost 5 years ago exactly and I am about to reach 10,000 hits. I know that isn't much, an average of about 5.5 hits per day. Compared that to my friend Zach Vitale who started One Tiny Hand who within a week had about 600,000 hits and its a drop in the bucket really, but like so many things about running a small business, every little bit counts. Thanks to everyone who has sent me a comment, email etc. It helps to know people are checking it out.

Spring Motogiro

The Spring Motogiro came and went this past weekend and it was a great time as usual. The weather was perfect for the 120 riders. The little Moto Guzzi finally went for the whole weekend (thanks to Pete Talabach). It wasn't fast but it did what it was supposed to. The USCRA is a great group and I can't believe they can make this thing happen.

Yes it's long, yes it's choppy but it has some fun stuff in there. It looks like we are going a zillion MPH but I'm pretty sure I never broke 55 on the Slowdola.

Making a new portfolio

My old book just came back to me after being gone for a month or so. Recently I have changed my website and my logo and I was about to just fix up my old book and send it out but I decided to just scrap it and reprint the thing. With lots of help from James Weinberg we came up with an idea to silkscreen covers and use wire binding to give it a "not so precious" yet handmade feel that is nice to hold. James is a very talented designer and is good at taking my half baked ideas and making them into something that works. These should be ready to send out in a week or so but I wanted to post some photos of the process. Thanks James.

Recent tears...

Website is taking longer than I thought. Thought I would take a minute to post a couple tears. The latest issue of Motorcycle Classics has a story about Ron's Hercules Wankel 2000 I got to photograph (and ride) in the fall. Have a few more stories to photograph for MC as soon as Spring shows up.

Been slow on the blog postings this month. Working hard on a new website and hope to launch it in the next week or two. Stay tuned.

The last of the Isle of Man articles has come out. The January/February issue of Motorcycle Classics is on the newsstand now and has an article I wrote and photographed about traveling to the greatest race on earth.You can read it on Motorcycle Classics website.

                                                                                  

Boston Home is on the newsstand with a few photos I took at a cool local company called Marida Meridian. They design and manufacture rugs right here in Boston and Fall River. I got to get one of those Make it in Massachusetts bumper stickers I remember on cars when I was a kid.
