Various Summer Fun

It's been a really busy July! Work has been BUSY and I have also managed a little traveling too. It's nice when those things mix together too. I got to shoot a beautiful house on Martha's Vinyard last week. The couple who hired me were nice enough to let me bring my family along for a couple nights so they could enjoy the island while I worked. It was an amazing house and we had a great time. The owner did all the clay tiles you see!

Boston Globe Magazine Tear Sheet Star-Struck

Here is a recent tear sheet from this Sunday's Boston Globe Magazine. One of those assignments that came in last minute that I was really excited to do and then thought about it on the way up realised what a challenge it would be. I ended up hiding some strobes to make silhouettes. They were good sports and showed me some cool things in the sky. Thanks to the GAAC.

My last day on the Isle of Man

It has been an amazing trip. Saw a lot of racing, saw a lot of this beautiful island. The Indian never made the lap due to a whole list of issues that despite very hard work by many people didn't get resolved in time. Read Dave Roper's blog  for details. The Indian has yet to move. It is running but is having gearbox trouble that will hopefully be fixed by tomorrow. More info later..........

Leave for TT.

Getting excited to leave for the TT. Got a GoPro Hero to mount on the Indian for Ropers lap. Shouldn't look anything like this, but if you want to see how a fast lap looks, take a look at this. Part 2 is right after it. If you have a seat belt on your desk chair, you may want to fasten it. I almost fell over watching this.



Remember. "go slow in the slow, and fast in the fast."

FAST Light at MIT

                            The weather on Sunday was perfect (finally) and we took a bike ride to MIT for FAST Light.

Skateboards, Opossum, Tearsheet

I went to hang out with my nephew Evan who is taking skateboard lessons at Subliminal Skatepark in Shrewsbury.  I got to skate with him for a while after. He is only 6 and is dropping in on almost every ramp there. Proud.

 Went to Drumlin Farm with D. She has been taking a class there on Fridays and this was the first time I got to go with her. We learned about opossum. This is her cautiously observing. Proud.

 Tearsheets from this weekends Globe magazine. The story was about summer getaways. My part was in Little Compton and Narragansett RI. The photo editor chose a photo of D for the LC section. This was one of those cool "shoot whatever you want" type of assignments. I had a good time doing it. Here are some outtakes that I liked too.
