Boston Magazine Shoot

Had a shoot last week for Boston Magazine. My friend Joe helped me out on it. Here is a test shot. I will post images from the article when it comes out.

850-T Sold

The 850-T went to a good home not too far from my own. A guy from Somerville bought it and I hope to still see it (and hear it) around town. Paul is a great guy and the perfect owner. Still waiting on 235 to show up from California. Should be here Tuesday. (sorry about the iPhone photos)

Fall

....in with the older (and smaller). I am selling my beloved '75 850-T to fund the recent purchase of a '62 Moto Guzzi 235. If you are interested in it send me an email. It's on Craigslist now and if nobody takes it I'm putting it on eBay next week.

Steam and Internal Cumbustion live in harmony one fall day.

Took a ride this past weekend with Joe in his beautiful 1969 FuryIII to Rhode Island to attend the Yankee Steam Up followed by an American Car show in the next town over.





The Steam up is an event I had heard about from my friend Scott a couple years back and have wanted to go since. People bring homemade steam engines to set up and run on display. Some run on actual steam provided by the organizers and some run off compressed air. The museum itself has a collection of steam engines big and small from the late 1800's on display and running. Other interesting things on site that day, homemade steam powered motorcycle, 2 steam powered boats, a radial airplane motor in the back of a pickup truck that was trying to start, mountain bike with honda 35cc motor with tons of handmade inventions by Steve ridden from Dedham Ma.

Fall Giro

I didn't take too many photos this time at the MotoGiro that took place this past weekend in Corning NY. I broke down the first day with 30 miles to go with a charging issue. New battery and clean connections and I was good for Sunday.
Nice place to break down.

MAGAZINE LOVE

Here are a couple recent magazines with my photos in it. First is the new issue of Bicycling with images of RIDE.STUDIO.CAFE in it. If you haven't gone there yet, you should. I know you like coffee and bikes right? Go.


Second is the newest PDN with a section on Boston Photographers. They ran an image of my good friend Bill and his Aermacchi Sprint I took in his garage a while back. It's funny how the article reads. When they asked me my thoughts about Boston as a city be a photographer in I didn't really focus on all the ways photo has changed in the past few years. We have lost a lot of labs, store, studios, magazines etc... I sort of assume that has happened in EVERY city. I feel Boston is a vibrant place to work and live. I feel lucky to have all these creative people around me and hiring me. I just feel lucky to have this as a job. I'll link the article when it's up on PDN's site

I photographed a bike shop in Lexington MA for BICYCLING Magazine. It is a coffee/bikeshop combo run by folks that know both things like nobody else. Go check them out.RSC

Fireworks, camping, jobs, summer etc.......

MAGIC SUMMER

Summer has been pretty amazing so far. Lots of photo work, ran a lighting workshop that was fun, visited by far away friends and more on the way. Family, BBQ's, motorcycling, skateboarding etc.
It's only July 1. Hell YA!
